Daniel's Prophesies: Michael. Warfare, and the Man Child

As we conclude our summary review of Daniel’s prophesies we move forward now to the twelfth chapter of Daniel. The context of the chapter remains centered on the period of the tribulation. We read at verse seven in part: “…it shall be for a time, times and an half (3 ½ years): and when he (the son of perdition---Antichrist) shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.” (verse seven in part). These are the words of the “man clothed in linen” (verse 6) which is none other than the Lord seen by Daniel in this prophetic vision. His identity can be confirmed at chapter ten and verse four and compared both by appearance and action at Revelation 10:`1-6 which is a confirming passage. (two witnesses affirm it-Daniel and John). With this context in view let us go back to the first verse. We will be comparing Daniel twelve with Revelation twelve.
“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble,(compare the words of Jesus at Matthew 24:21-22-great tribulation) such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.(Daniel 12:1) The angel Michael is introduced to as an active participant effectively and necessarily involved in this intense warfare and  this time of trouble. In order to gain understanding of what is transpiring with Michael standing up for thy people we must go to the twelfth chapter of Revelation.  We read first at verse seven the following: “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon: a and the dragon fought and his angels. And prevailed not: neither was there place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast unto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him”(Rev.12:7-9).
Now that Michael and his angels have been introduced into this scene at the consummation of the age we will add for greet emphasis the reality of an intense and consequential spiritual warfare so significant that it results in the Devil and his angels being cast out of heaven after ages of access for accusation and condemnation of those who would seek to embrace the truth in Christ. The critical agent of victory in this spiritual war is the “man child”. And so who might that be? It is not Jesus Christ as dispensationalists would claim.
“And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven (the Lord’s people)  and cast them to the earth and which  was ready to be delivered the dragon stood before the woman (the church), for to devour her child as soon as  it was born.” (vs.4) “And she brought forth a man child which was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up to God, and to his throne.” (verse 5) “And the woman (the church) fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her here a thousand two hundred and three score days.” (verse 7) . In explanation of this text we see that a faithful remnant of the Lord’s people is birthed from the church and who because of their purity and faithfulness are caught up to the throne of God. There is a twofold precedent for this action of the Lord—Enoch and Elijah. They are godly and pure and as such are an instrument of Christ to cast the Devil out of haven with the assistance of Michael and his army. These people answer in kind to the church at Philadelphia (brotherly love) “I know thy works, behold  I have set before thee an open door, and no man shall shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and has not denied my name.” (Rev.3:8). “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I will keep thee from the hour of tribulation, which shall come upon the entire world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.(verse 10).
So we see a faithful and purified people (identified as the “man child”) birthed out from among the church which will be caught to the throne. Because God has found a people who are truly conformed to the image of his dear Son, they then become his instrument holding the spiritual ground for casting Satan form his presence in heaven to the earth. “And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony: and they loved not their lives unto the death;”.” (verse 11). Because of his great wrath he makes war with the saints in a time of unprecedented persecution and martyrdom. (3 ½ years of tribulation) This was confirmed by the quote of Daniel 12:1 and repeated in the words of the man clothed in linen (Christ) where we read his words at Daniel 12:7  “…and when he shall have accomplished to have scattered the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished as set forth in th verse  above as well as the context of Rev. 11:1-12. (Compare Daniel 11:35).
The time frame is confined again at the end of the chapter both for the abomination of desolation and the duration of tribulation. “And from the time that the daily (sacrifice -not in the original text) shall be taken away, (has nothing to do with animal sacrifice) and the abomination of desolation set up, shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days." (Daniel 12:12). We have explained the abomination of desolation in great detail in posting number five on my blogsite.  I repeat it has nothing to do with ritual or animal sacrifice as dispensationalists affirm.
So without going into great detail in the book of Revelation this study provides us with an overview and the significant points contained in Daniel’s prophesies.  A much greater understanding can be reached by obtaining my book These Prophets and the Revelation where we go deeply unto the Revelation.
This obviously does not conform to the conventional wisdom of the day, i.e.,a pretribulational rapture of the entire church, a seven year tribulation which is only focused on Jewish Israel, the fact that the body of the church as a whole will endure the tribulation which lasts three and one-half years, and many other details of the word of God. If you have been taught these things you have been deceived and especially if you have accepted them. My writings are tor he sole purpose of attempting to educate God’s people in the truth. I make no apology for their content for they have been diligently searched out and are always supported by Scripture.

Daniel's Prophesies: Great Tribulation

Finishing our study in Daniel will require two more postings.  Each one will be centered at the very end of the age at the time of the great tribulation.  The text will cover the last one-third of Daniel chapter eleven to the end of the book. Daniel 11:30-45 is where we will concentrate on the first of the two.  The last will be focused in the twelfth chapter of Daniel.  They will be different in content and emphasis but will fit together to cover the subject in some detail. If you have been following our study the previous posting was on the abomination of desolation. This is an important event to understand because it provides the entry point to the three and one-half years of tribulation. If you have not read it I recommend that you do so and if you have it might profit you to read it again.
Moving to the current text of our considerations we find that the last third of the eleventh chapter is providing insights from the point of the abomination of desolation and carrying us forward through to the end of the age. The early part of the chapter gives us much history but is not written in manner which provides keys leading us to prophetic interpretation.
Beginning with verse 30 in the eleventh chapter we read: “For the ships of Chittim (an islander, from the coasts opposite of Palestine--Strong’s Concor.) Shall come against him: therefore shall he be grieved and have * indignation (to be in great wrath, bitterness, vengeance) against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return and have **intelligence (to have understanding) with them who forsake the holy covenant. The verse depicts a great conflict both spiritually and in the temporal realm. Warfare is an ongoing process both militarily and spiritually in opposition to the covenant and expressed violently against those who embrace the covenant in the most intense sense.
“Arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength and shall take away the daily (sacrifice) and shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.” (Verse 31 is explained completely in my previous blog).
“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries:
But the people that do know their God shall be strong and do (exploits) (verse 32).
“And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet shall they fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity and by spoil many days.”(verse 33).
“Now when they shall fall, they will be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.”(verse 34).”And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.” (verse 35). What is being depicted in verses 32 through verse 35 is a spiritual conflict that is extremely intense against the evil one and those allied with him. It is a conflict which includes great persecution and martyrdom being experienced by those who are being faithful to Christ. Some of them will fall away through deceit (flatteries) and yet many shall persevere This text can be cross-referenced to Revelation chapter 11:1-12 and is also referred to under the fifth seal in Revelation chapter 6:9-11. I recommend you read these texts to understand what is happening with the people of God during the tribulation period. It is notable to point out that the. corrupted message of today’s churches is that the saints are going to be raptured away before the tribulation escaping all consequence of the dominion of ‘the son of perdition.’ Through deception and acceptance of untrue doctrines they will succumb to deception believing that the “son of perdition” is the returning Christ.
The text in the chapter beginning with verse 36 takes us to the person of Antichrist himself and his ongoing activities to conquer and establish his dominion on earth while receiving worship and honor from the masses of people who in their deception believing that he is the messiah. He shall do according to his own will and exalt himself above every god and speak blasphemies against the true God. We see in verse 37 that he is in fact a Jew as he does not honor the God of his fathers for the God of his fathers would be the true God.  In verse 38 we see that he will honor a god of forces, a god who his father’s knew not. And in 39 a “strange god whom he will acknowledge and increase with glory, and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.” This, of course, is in fact Lucifer assuming the place of God and occupying his sanctuary.
The following verses in the text are expressing and explaining the conflict for a vast territory recovery in the Middle East by Israel. The recovery and possession of the ‘Promised Land’ is in view and other areas of the region will be affected, (verses 40, 41 and 42).This is the consummation of the Zionist plan for a “Greater Israel” being orchestrated by the World Zionist Organization and the compromised political and economic powers under their control worldwide  which will ultimately be consolidated into their planned NEW WORLD ORDER.  It will be centered in Israel and with its capitol being Jerusalem “And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain.” (ZION) (Verse 45. ) Jerusalem is located ‘between the seas’, i.e. the Sea of Galilee and the Mediterranean. The ‘glorious Holy Mountain is otherwise known as Zion.
“…yet shall he come to his end, and none shall help him.” (Last phrase of 45)

These consummating events of the age are clearly prophesied by both Daniel and the Apostle John in the Book of Revelation.  They are also recorded in the annuls of the secular world.  The Oded Yinon plan drafted in 1982 is a precursor blueprint to all of the current conflict we have observed in the Middle East and it is not near to being over. America is the lackey servant of Zionism to  prosecute war and destabilization  for Israel to recover the Middle East establishing a ”Grater Israel” in the midst of world government.(Check it out on the internet under Oded Yinon Plan for Greater Israel).
The solemn commentary to these realities is that America and evangelical Christians in the main are totally deceived by their enchantment with the nation state of Israel, and the so-called ‘chosen people’. It will prove to be the greatest deception every perpetrated by the devil on Christianity and the world at large. Jesus solemnly warned us of this at Matthew 24:24-25 and context.

Daniel's Prophesies: The Abomination of Desolation

As we move forward in the progressive revelations of Daniels’ several contributions to the prophetic paradigm which is vital to our understanding; we must deal with this most important subject.  It is not at all understood in theological circles and has been particularly distorted by evangelicals. So our purpose here is to define the abomination of desolation, to pinpoint the time of its occurrence, and understand its significant spiritual impact on the world as well as believers when it does occur.
The best point of beginning is with the words of Jesus in Mathew 24 where we read as follows: “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet standeth in the holy place, whoso readeth let him understand.”  (Matthew 24:15). We see immediately that it is within the purpose of the Lord that we gain an understanding. As we would look forward in the text to verse  21 where we read: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the word to this time no nor ever shall be.” So we see that the occurrence of the event is closely related to the time of ‘great tribulation’. Some expositors would claim that this text is related to Israel of old in the destruction of the temple, the city and the wall in 70 AD This cannot be the truth for if we follow the verses in the text down to verse 29 it is describing how to relate to it in the light of the coming of the Lord and the resurrection (See Matt.24: 29-31). What is seen is that the text takes us to the very end.  Our Lord has referred us to Daniel the prophet so we need to examine what he had to say about it.
Daniel refers to it twice so for the sake of answering the question of timing we go to Daniel 12::11. “So from the time that the daily (sacrifice) in italics  in KJV as no word in the original text given for it) shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.” This then gives us a reference point of thirty (30) days prior to the onset of tribulation for we know from the context and many other references that the duration of the tribulation is 3 and ½ years.  (time, times and a  half = 3 and ½ years) at Dan.12:7 and also at Dan.7:25, two times in the Book of Revelation  at 11:2 (forty and two months) and at Rev.12:6 (a thousand two hundred and three score days). So we are discovering two truths here. First that the tribulation period is 3 and ½ years—not seven as dispensationalists claim and secondly the abomination of desolation is future and not past and it occurs immediately prior to the onset of tribulation according to Daniel 12:11, i.e.  before the three and one-half years of tribulation begins.  Having established the timing from Scripture as yet future it must be refuted totally that it involves she sacrificing a pig on the altar of the temple by Antiochus Epiphanes.  This is a Jewish fable adopted by dispensationalists with not one verse to support their interpretation. We will cover the meaning at Daniel 11:31 which serve to establish this fact.
“And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary, and shall take away the daily (sacrifice, again no Hebrew word for sacrifice in the original text) and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries.” For clarification of meaning some word study is necessary.
Arms=Figuratively, power or strength, any kind of support
Daily=continually-- (important to note that the word sacrifice is inserted                 in the KJV with no original Hebrew word in the text to account for the                   insertion.
Abomination—to detest, filthy, unclean- chiefly of things which cannot be          touched, idolatry
Desolation—to be laid waste or made desolate, desolation
(Nothing here remotely related to an animal sacrifice)
Word definitions taken from Wilson’s O. T. Word Studies

In summary of the above we would see first that the verse is not speaking of a physical sacrifice whether of an animal or otherwise. From the word definition for daily we would conclude that the meaning is speaking of something which has been continual and has now been ‘take(en) away’. This then has nothing to do with animal sacrifices being discontinued in the tribulation in the temple and most certainly has no reference to the offering of a pig on the altar of the Jewish temple. So what is the meaning of the abomination of desolation? We must go to the New Testament for our answer in the text of II Thessalonians 2:1-11.
In the beginning of this text we are given assurance that the coming of the Lord is not immanent, but rather is to be preceded by the revelation of the Son of Perdition. i.e. ‘the man of sin’ which is also to be preceded by a great falling away or apostasy. (This denies the fantasy of a pretribulational ‘rapture’ of the church). Then in verse four we read: “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God showing himself that he is God.” Moving down to verse seven we pick up the text: “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work, only he that letteth will let until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming. Even him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. And with all deceivable of unrighteousness in them those perish: because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved.”
So in a summary of defining and explaining the abomination of desolation we would assert the following: (1) It has nothing to do with the sacrifice of animals in the temple whether historically or in a future rebuilt temple.(2) It has everything to do with a future event  at the revealing of Antichrist and an extremely powerful deception which will cause people to  succumb to worship him as a returning messiah as well as his master Lucifer. It is a spiritual invasion of God’s temple and sanctuary, i.e. the minds, hearts and ultimately the spirits of people. This is an abomination of defilement leading to desolation and destruction when the spirit is captured.

Daniel's Prophesies: "Seventy Weeks Are Determined"

We continue our multiple part series in Daniel with Daniel, chapter 9 with an in-depth investigation of the final four verses in the chapter which have been designated as Daniel’s “Seventy Weeks”.  This is an extremely important potion of Scripture because an extended understanding of the eschatology of the Bible depends upon its accurate interpretation. The precise understanding of the truth of these four verses stands in complete opposition to the popular teaching in today’s evangelical churches. After we have interpreted the passage, verse by verse and phrase by phrase there will be an opportunity to expose the heresies of today’s apostate churches and the extent to which the truth of God’s word has been corrupted.
As background before moving into the text (vss.24-27) we come to understand by the early verses in the chapter that the timing of Daniel’s revelation was in the first year of Darius the king of the Medes. This is significant as it marks the end of the Babylonian captivity and the beginning of the regime of the Medes and Persons.  The Babylonian captivity was imposed on Israel for a period of seventy years of judgment and Daniel came to understand that it was complete based on the words of Jeremiah the prophet. (See Jer. 25:12). An explanation of the weeks is necessary before we begin to expound on the meaning of the four verse text. The weeks are weeks of years in the understanding of the Hebrew law. So one week equals seven years and then by extension seventy weeks equals four hundred and ninety years (70 X 7= 490) (See Lev. 25:10 and context). We can now begin to interpret the passage.
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city.” The prophecy is to extend for four hundred and ninety years and it concerns only the Jews and the holy city which was at that time in total ruins. "…to finish the transgression, and to make an end to sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.” Clearly all of the above is the work of Christ in his death and resurrection. His anointing was at the time John the Baptist baptized him in the Jordan River and the Holy Spirit descended upon him. (vs.24).(See Matthew 3:16-17).
“Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks and three sore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.” So we must have a beginning point to measure the seventy weeks. This is found in the seventh chapter of the Book of Ezra.  You would find it profitable to read the entire chapter for it is a confirmation of the fulfillment of the promised event “to build and restore Jerusalem” This is the essence of the prophecy in verse twenty five and its date of origin was about 457 BCE by Artaxerxes king of Persia.  It must be understood by the reader that the secular date may be slightly off because the measurement of time is according to the Hebrew colander.
“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, (This clearly speaks of the crucifixion of Christ.)But not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”  (vs. 26).  The city, the temple and the wall were devastatingly destroyed by an act of God’s judgment on apostate and wicked people. This was accomplished and executed by the Roman general Titus in 70 A.D.
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week, and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease. To those of you that have been deceived by the heresies of dispensational theology: this is not the Antichrist having made a covenant with the Jews at the outset of tribulation.  This is the Lord Jesus Christ, who having preached the gospel of the kingdom to the Jews for 3 ½ years was rejected and crucified, but many believed and followed him.  In the middle of the seventieth week he was crucified and by this act of redemption caused all of the Jewish ceremonial law including sacrifice and oblations to cease.  The vail of the temple was rent in twain. After his crucifixion his apostles carried the message using the power given by the Holy Spirit to further minister to the “lost sheep of the house of Israel”. A total of seven years (one week) was the gospel ministered to the Jews only. Its point of consummation is found in Acts, chapter seven when Stephen preached to the Sanhedrin---the council of elders of Jewry. His reward was to be stoned to death by the Jewish authority thus bringing an end to God’s dealings with ethnic Israel, i.e. Jewry collectively. The “seventy weeks” was complete at this event. “…and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even unto the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”  (vs. 27).  This is the judgment of the Lord on an apostate and Christ rejecting Israel. It was a complete desolation of their corrupted religion, their temple, their city and their priesthood. Further commentary on the passage is made necessary by the corrupted interpretation assessed by dispensationalists which includes the vast majority of evangelicals.
First we must emphatically state that the Antichrist does not appear anywhere in the passage contrary to their interpretation.  The phrase “in the midst of the week he shall cause sacrifice and oblation to cease.” This is accomplished by Messiah, i.e. Christ who forever put to an end to the offering of sacrifices. Also the alleged “gap” occurring after the sixty- ninth week is an aberration. The seventy weeks are obviously an unbroken continuum. There is no return to ethnic Jewry or Israel after the flesh with the inception of the New Covenant. Their heretical interpretation of the passage corrupts and destroys its true meaning. Zionism as it has emerged in the past century is attributed to the heretical doctrines of the dispensationalists and has corrupted the truths of Scripture as well as deceiving the people by the tens,if not hundreds,  of  millions  and  it is truly  The Israel Deception.(See my book). A  Zionist Trojan horse has invaded the Church and effectively destroyed it from within the gates except the Lord raise up a remnant.

Daniel's Prophesies: A Vision of the End

Moving forward in our progressive series of Daniel’s prophesies we investigate the content of chapter eight which we have entitled a vision leading to the end. As we move forward through the book we find that additional details are provided to add to those previous revelations. With the exception of chapter nine they are increasingly bringing our focus to the end of the age and the consummation of all things as they relate so this present world system.
As a foundation to show that what is being revealed is the course of the kingdoms of this world which are ultimately leading us to the eternal kingdom of Christ. Daniel first saw in this vision “a ram which had two horns and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last. I saw the ram, pushing westward and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will and became great. (Daniel 8:3-5).This beast then again is representing the kingdom of the Medes and the Persians including the fall of Babylon. During this dominion the Persian king Artaxerxes made a decree along with provisions for the Jews who were so inclined to return to Jerusalem and the city and the temple were restored. This we will focus in more detail when we reach chapter nine. The Medio-Persian Empire prevailed for about two centuries.
“And as I was considering behold an he goat came from the west on the face of the earth, and touched not the ground (i.e. very swiftly): and the he goat had a notable horn between his eyes. And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran into him in the fury of his power……and smote the ram, and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him to the ground and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. Therefore the he goat waxed great: and when he was strong the great horn was broken: and fromr it came up four great ones toward the four winds of heaven.”  Historically we have revealed for us the vast kingdom of Alexander the Great coming with his armies of Macedonians from the west where Alexander was king and Greeks and they came conquering the vast region all the way to India. Within a relative short time after his conquests Alexander was smitten with a fever and he  died at a young  age  (332 BCE) and this kingdom was divided among his four greatest conquering generals each one claiming a dominion to the north, to the  east,  of the south and  to the west of the vast empire. Israel was within the realm of the Seleucid kings.
The vision here moves forward dramatically to the developments of the end of the age. “And out of one of them came forth a “little horn”, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.  And it waxed great even to the host of heaven; and it cast down of the host and of the stars to the ground and stamped upon them. (Daniel 8:9-10).  The geographic reference here is to take us to a focus on the resurgent state of Israel at the end of the age (“the pleasant land”). The references here of “the host” and “the stars” are to identify the saints of the Lord. This is confirmed from both Joseph’s dream at Genesis 37:9-10 and John’s vison recorded in at Revelation 12: 1-4 and following. Contrary to the popular evangelical doctrines of the day it is a fact that the main body of the church will be subjected to the tribulation (3 and ½ years) and not be delivered by a “pretribulational rapture” of the entire church. A faithful remnant will be caught up to the throne at that time. (See Rev.12:5).
Continuing with the narrative of the text we read: Yea, and he magnified himself (Antichrist) even to the prince of the host (Jesus Christ). And by him (Antichrist) the daily sacrifice was taken away.” This has nothing to do with animal sacrifices resumed in the temple as is supposed by dispensationalists; but note the word sacrifice is in italics in the text and so was translated without a corresponding Hebrew word.  What this is referring to is the abomination of desolation which we will cover later in more detail in our study in Daniel.  But this portion of Daniel can be cross-referenced in the New Testament at II Thes. 2:1-12 where we see the revealing of Antichrist (“that Wicked be revealed”) and the stance he takes which is requiring from all to receive worship.
Moving forward with the text we read: “And an host was given him (Antichrist) against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground: and it practiced and prospered.”(Daniel 8:12) This speaks of the intense persecution and martyrdom of the saints during the period of the tribulation and will be expanded upon in chapter eleven. Do you doubt this truth? Compare for verification Rev. 11:1-12 and Rev. 6:9-12 which occurs under the opening of the fifth seal. These contexts are both fulfilled during the tribulation.(3 and ½ years not seven).
“Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spoke.  How long shall it be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.” (Daniel 8:13-14). Under the current theological paradigms of confusion virtually none of the above is even remotely understood. It must come to be understood that the Lord must purify his people, i.e. “then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.” The sanctuary is the temple of God that is to say his people. It must be a holy place for his indwelling! When these prophesies are to be fulfilled at the end of the age and before the resurrection he will most certainly undertake a period of subjecting  his people to an intense trial and persecution including martyrdom to effect the spiritual cleansing process. It will begin before the onset of tribulation and will continue through to its very end.  The resurrection occurs after the tribulation. (See Matthew 24:29-31, Revelation chapter seven and Rev. 11:11-12).
